Balloon tooltip :

BinaryToolTip .NET component supports a style property to display tooltips with the ever popular Windows XP style Balloon tooltip style.

ToolTip title :

By setting a simple property, you can assign a title text to the tooltip, apart from the usual tooltip text.

Implements IExtenderProvider interface :

BinaryToolTip .NET implements the standard IExtenderProvider .NET interface, and adds sevaral extended tooltip properties to other Controls on the Form.

Image Support :

By setting a simple property, you can display an image of your choice, along with the tooltip title text.

Ability to fully support painting with custom colors and font :

Using the component's simple properties, you can set the color and font of your choice for displaying the tooltip text, title, its forecolor, backcolor and border color.

DropShadow effects :

The component can draw the tooltip with or without drop shadows. Using its simple properties, you can easily configure the DropShadows for the tooltip. Also, you can configure the tooltip's dropshadow offset, to give an extended floating effect for the tooltip.

Full control over Balloon window painting :

By setting a simple property, you can dynamically change the curve factor for drawing the edges of the tooltip window, when the drawing style is set to Balloon tooltip style.
This feature lets you decide at runtime, the depth of curve you want the tooltip to use, while drawing its edges/corners.

On the left hand side, you can see some snapshots of the Balloon styled tooltip window instance, set with different edge curve factors!

Multiple Tooltip styles :

The component provides two different styles of tooltip rendering, viz., an extended version of the standard tooltip and an XP styled Balloon tooltip.

Automatic tooltip location management :

The component automatically decides the best location for positioning the toolTip window, based on the screen co-ordinates of the underlying BinaryToolTip enabled controls on your Form vis-a-vis the screen bounds.

Automatic Multiline Tooltips:

The component carries the capability to automatically display tooltip text in multiple lines, based on a user-specified custom tooltip window width!
You do not have to split the lines by manually adding Environment.NewLine in your tooltip text!

Furthermore, this facililty is optional, so if you want, you can switch this feature off, by setting the appropriate property!

Point Tooltips :

The BinaryPointTip .NET component that comes with BinaryToolTip .NET enables displaying tooltips on any screen location of your choice.

Why should I buy this component package, when I have the new improved "standard" Tooltip component in .NET 2.0 Framework?

The .NET 2.0 standard controls do not provide any of the GUI features (as described above) that BinaryToolTip .NET offers out-of-the-box.
